It is with deep regret that we have reached the difficult decision to postpone The Folk Forest 2020 festival until 2021.
Whilst we were very excited about welcoming you to our special 10 year anniversary celebrations, given the unprecedented situation surrounding the Covid-19 epidemic and the considerable uncertainty over the coming months we feel postponing the event is the right decision. Your wellbeing, along with that of our staff, partners and contributors is paramount, and this decision has been made with everyone’s best interests in mind.
This has been an extremely difficult decision to come to terms with, given all the work that has gone into planning this year’s event and the opportunity to come together and celebrate arts and culture in Sheffield. With that in mind, we have been working hard to secure new dates for the festival and reschedule the 10 year celebrations.
The Folk Forest will return in 2021!
The dates for the Folk Forest 2021 will be 17-18th July, so please get them in the diary! We are exceptionally grateful for the way our partners, artists and contributors have pulled together to help maintain the vast majority of the amazing programme we had lined up for you, and we are looking forward to building on this further in the coming months.
Further announcements will be published on our website: https://www.thefolkforest.net/, Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheFolkForest and Twitter: https://twitter.com/thefolkforest

Please see our FAQ/Information section under refunds for full details.
How You Can Help.
It is already apparent that the impact to the events sector will be one of the greatest for a generation and we all need to pull together to weather the storm and make sure as many festivals, venues and artists are able to continue to trade and make their vital contribution to society. Your support in attending our 2021 festival, keeping your tickets valid and when the time is right helping spread the word about The Folk Forest will be invaluable in the coming months. You can help, and we will need your help.
Until we meet again in the forest, our best wishes are with you all.
Thanks,
The Folk Forest Team at Regather Co-Operative

There is limited parking around Endcliffe Park and there will be no access to the small access road next to the Tennis club except for Blue Badge holders for the disable parking spaces. There is on-street parking on Rustlings Road and Ecclesall Road.
On arrival for ticketed area:
When first arriving to the site please come to the box office tent located near the Hunters Bar roundabout end of Endcliffe Park. There you can collect your wristbands.
Tickets can be bought in advance online: https://www.thefolkforest.net/tickets/
Tickets can also be bought on the day at the Box Office but these will be charged at a higher price than in advance.
Bars and some food providers will be able to take payments by card. But some may only accept cash. This is the same for the stall holders in the Market. Please therefore make sure to bring some cash with you. The closest cash machine is Natwest by Hunters Bar roundabout.
Tickets purchased for The Folk Forest support us to run the whole of the festival and we would not be able to do so without our supporters who buy tickets for the event.
However, we still want to keep parts of the festival open access so to not bar anyone from enjoying the day.
The ticketed area of Endcliffe Park during the weekend is that over the Porter Brook and entry points are at the two bridges. It also includes all Kids Activities such as The Concerteenies Stage, Kids Area and Forest School.
All of the other areas of the park are open access. This includes access to the Arts & Crafts Market, Birdtable stage showcases local artists and Tree Fayre.
The vast majority of advertised acts on posters and our website play in ticketed areas so you need a wristband to see them.
We are currently finalising food providers. These will be available in the Main Stage area and the Free Area.
We are working to ensure that there are options for all dietary requirements.
One of the key ways that you can support us to continue The Folk Forest each year is by purchasing drinks in the bars provided.
Ticket holders will have access to the Main Bar which this year will be managed by Sheffield based Stancill Brewery.
The Bird Table bar will be available in the free area also selling a wide range of drinks.
Please bring your own water bottles to refill with water at the water points.
Water is available at both bars and at the side of the Endcliffe Park cafe. Please bring your own bottles to refill rather than buying water in plastic bottles.
Dogs are allowed in the ticketed area as long as they are kept on a lead at all times. In all other areas, normal park rules apply for dogs using the park. Please be responsible and mindful of other park users.
Endcliffe Park does have limited disable parking available
Please see access details about Endcliffe Park on https://www.accessable.co.uk/venues/endcliffe-park
Please be aware that audience areas are not allocated and located on uneven grass. There is a slope up to the grassed area for the main stage, please make stewards aware should you require assistance.
Personal assistant tickets are available and can be requested via email to info[at]regather.net – the following forms of copied evidence make an individual ‘automatically eligible’:
Front page of DLA / PIP (no specific rate)
Front page of Attendance Allowance letter (no specific rate)
Evidence that registered severely sight impaired (blind)
Recognised Assistance Dog ID card
Credability’s Access Card
For those that cannot provide any of the above, we will review an application without the recommended evidence on a case-by-case basis.
The First Aid tent is located near the main entrance to the ticketed area/main bar.
If at any point you require First Aid please make you way to the tent if possible. Should you not be a ticket holder, please report to a steward (in high-vis vest) and they will escort you.
If you are not able to report to the tent, please make yourself known to a steward and they will radio for First Aid staff to attend.
In an emergency, please first call 999 and then let a steward know so that we can support with First Aid staff and escort the ambulance if required.
