The hugely successful market returns, and we’re inviting back the best of contemporary art and craft, books, photography, vintage clothing and music memorabilia for a sixth year at The Folk Forest Fair arts and craft market.

Sheffield is full of independent makers of all kinds, and Arts and Crafts have always been an important part of the Folk Forest. This year you can have a go yourself with the help of some of the region’s finest crafts people. Including:

***Site Gallery***
Site Gallery are launching their incredible Art Van at this year’s Folk Forest. The van transforms into a whole area for creative activities, so come and visit our art camp. Drop in anytime to participate in maker workshops and to experience our programme of music, moving image artwork and live performance.


***Bird Table Stage***

Live music to accompany the fair area with a diverse programme representing Sheffield’s Cultural landscape. Line up tbc shortly.


***Forest School***
Positive outdoor experiences at the Forest School in the woods. Organised by Middlewood Nature Nursery.


***Children’s Area***
We’re delighted to welcome back Youth Discovery Ventures who will be hosting a children’s area, with a range of activities programmed across the weekend.

New Games will also return for a variety of parachute and co-operative games.


***Yoga / Healing ****
The teachers from the Yoga at the Reach yoga studio on Eccelsall Road are delighted to be supporting this years Folk Forest by providing a variety of yoga classes over the weekend. There will be a class suitable for everyone – babies, children and adults, with or without yogic experience. So please pop by their tent, say hi to see the weekend’s yoga class timetable or check on line at

Andrew Jones Tui Na and Acupuncture will also be available for treatments over the weekend.


***Waterwheel Stage at Shepherds Wheel***

Join us in the shadow of the famous Sheffield Heritage Site as the The Folk Forest ventures out into Whiteley Woods with a ‘pop-up’ stage at Shepherd Wheel featuring music, drama, poetry, and local history.

Expect music and performances from 2pm – 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

As well as the performances, which will be staged throughout the day, there will be refreshments for sale, provided by New Roots and some FoPV volunteers will be on hand to help and offer a wealth of stories about the site, merchandise for sale, and information about other projects taking place in the local area.

They’ll be plenty more details to be announced soon! Including more Music, and activites for people to do. But trust we’ll have something for everybody on stage and off.
