The nights are drawing in, so come and cheer yerselves up by making something beautiful and/or having a really good dance! We have leather workshops, a spoon carving weekend and music from the Monster Ceilidh Band for you all to enjoy...

Craft Jam at the Millennium Galleries with Live Music 
Fri 30th Sept, 7.00pm
The Folk Forest teams up with Museums Sheffield for another evening of live music and craft activities. Last year saw over 400 people grab a beer, enjoy some carefully curated music, and get crafty. You’ll have the chance to learn new skills, watch demonstrations and get creative! This year promises to be no exception. (Free Entry). The Millennium Gallery, Arundel Gate, S1 2PP

Leather Crafts: Belts & Purses
Sat 15th Oct, 10am - 5pm
Ruth Pullan
Leather worker Ruth Pullan specialises in creating hand stitched bags & accessories using high quality British materials. Join her for this workshop which will give you the basic skills needed for leatherwork. During the workshop you’ll make a coin purse & belt from start to finish inc. dying. By the end of the day you will have the confidence to apply these newly learnt techniques to your own projects. A hot lunch will be provided from the Regather kitchen.     Spoon Carving Weekend Sat-Sun 12-13th Nov, 10:00am - 5:00pm Nadine Fox Grundy of Green Fox Crafts Spoon carving is a fantastic introduction into green woodwork & one that can provide a lifetime's enjoyment. It is a great skill to learn as it can be done anywhere, with few tools and very little space. On this course we will learn to carve a selection of wooden utensils that you can use in your home using three tools: an axe, a carving knife & a spoon knife. Hot lunch will be provided from the Regather kitchen. (£130 weekend ticket). Supported by Arts Council England.
